I received the following very nice reply from Janet Macoska:
"The lady in the photo is Marge Bush, who was the music director of WIXY Radio, one of the last top 40 radio stations in Cleveland. Lou was in town to promote his record (I think Sally Can't Dance) and the RCA rep took him around to all the major stations. The progressive album-oriented station, WMMS, was the main station playing him, but RCA, of course, wanted to pull a single off the album and Lou had to go to the Top 40 station.
Marge Bush is taking a call, Lou obviously isn't thrilled to be there, and is turning on the RCA-hired photographer (me) to show his displeasure.
He kind of went hot and cold the whole day. He'd be fine in some situations, like visiting the main record distributor in town to say "hi" and then being let loose in the warehouse to pull as many albums as he could carry (he liked that). I don't think he liked parading around to the stations very much.
Anyhow....thats the story. Glad you like the photo.
If there is a way I can show some of your members some of those Lou Reed images and offer them at a discounted rate to your members, let me know."
Oh, it's such a perfect day, I'm glad I spent it with you.
