LOU REED, ULRICH KRIEGER & SARTH CALHOUN Venue: Royal Festival Hall LONDON, ENGLAND

I was thinking of going to Cambridge Junction as it's quite a small venue but the music will sound magnificent in the RFH so I think I will go there instead.

It would be nice if he added some shows in central europe though.
Those people already bought tickets when the shows were cancelled last fall.
If Who Am I is right, than most of these venues were sold out.
I think they deserve more than just a refund, no?

Out of longing great wonders have been willed

I was hoping for a gig nearer to me. Maybe he will add a few more.
Well, the winner this time seems to be England ... 3 concerts.

Lou Reed is playing Royal Festival Hall a month after John Cale. I love how it always seems like these two are following each other around. :D

Royal Festival Hall seems a bit ambitious capacity-wise for MM3. I wonder how tickets will sell.

This is great news. I had a ticket for Berlin on the last MM3 tour that never happened. Hopefully, these shows will go ahead and Lou will be feeding-back through a massive PA and blow the top of our heads off. [16.gif]

Looks like the Cambridge show for me. After 20 years of Lou gigs, i finally see him play a standing-only venue [thanks.gif.png]

I'm not sure if i will be able to see any of the shows in England, theres non close to me :( and i've just booked tickets to see John Cales Paris 1919 show in London, which I'm really looking forward to :D . But now i don't have much money left.

When do you think Lou Reed will do a proper rocknroll tour again?

Yes the manager for one show stated that they had been sold out for weeks, so I concluded that it gave no meaning to speculate that is was NOT because it did not sell well, obviously. In EU there have been a great fan base years after years, that show up to his concerts and hail him like the second coming. Beside it was a well organized tour for festivals of mostly alternative experimental music. The scene was sat, the people got their tickets, so why on earth did he cancelled ?? Could it have been a conflict of interests on the management level? Just a long shot. I would really like to know.

Anyway personal issues seems to cut off he should give any explanation.

Does anyone know how long the MM3 are likely to be on stage in Cambridge? The details I've got say they start at 8pm but not sure if there's some kind of support act too? My last train back to Norwich is 10.30pm and although the station is really near the venue I'd hate to have to leave early (although I'm sure some unenlightened punters will be doing exactly that when they don't hear their favourite Lou song!)

I just looked at the seating chart on the Royal Festival Hall site. Tickets aren't selling well at all.

I finally decided to go for the Copenhagen show on April 24. A deciding factor was that I also got tickets for the concert with Diamanda Galás, Lydia Lunch & Jacob Kirkegaard in Copenhagen on April 23.

Just wanted you to know that the MM3-show in Bergen last tuesday was fun! I was quoted in the newspaper. They asked me if I was going to use earplugs, and I replied "Hell no!" ("ikke faen" in Norwegian) [16.gif]

Btw, I saw New York Dolls this friday, and they played 3 times louder than Lou and the guys!
